Children’s Halloween Walk 2016

Beth Preciso gives her grandchildren a hug on Saturday.

The annual St. Johns Children’s Halloween Walk enjoyed a big turnout again this year. Over 500 children and parents participated along with most storefront businesses in the St. Johns’ downtown core. Trick-or-treaters enjoyed the sunny Saturday afternoon while showing off some very creative costumes.

Sponsored by the St. Johns Neighborhood Association, St. Johns Center for Opportunity, and the St. Johns Boosters, the event was held on October 29th.

Many store owners and staff got into the spirit with costumes of their own, including Jim Cramer, owner of North End Barber Company. (See slideshow below.)

A special thank you to Beth Preciso and Kert Wright who spent hours visiting local businesses to confirm participation, put up posters, and distribute balloons showing which businesses were open to trick-or-treaters. Beth is the seamstress at The Man’s Shop and Kert is the owner of Sabi & Friends.
