St. Johns Invited to 2/3rds Project Open House

The 2/3rds Project open houseThis Friday, October 28th, “The 2/3rds Project” is open to the public. Come out and see all of the shops, office spaces, alleyways, lofts and restaurants.

The open house runs from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and includes a costume contest and prizes.

You may remember that the lot The 2/3rds Project is on was for many years a contaminated brownfield. When the City of Portland decided to sell the lot for development a committee of neighbors including, but not limited to, James Hayes, owner of Proper Eats and yours truly, was formed. We met for several years, surveyed the community, and interviewed developers. Long story short, Guerrilla Development Co. was selected and the result is The 2/3rds Project, recognizable with the large lighted St. Johns bridge mural.

Come out and enjoy this opportunity to meet and mingle with our newest local businesses. The 2/3rds Project is on Lombard at North Baltimore Street.
