St. Johns Boosters support National Small Business Week, April 30th – May 6th, and our local businesses all year long!
More than one-half of Americans own or work for a small business. When you shop locally 70% of every dollar you spend stays in the local economy. In St. Johns we host 350 neighborhood businesses that, together, make our neighborhood a better place to live, shop, and play.
Let’s work together to remind our customers and neighbors of the importance of our small local businesses. Thanks to Venture Portland we have posters enough for every storefront. Drop by The Man’s Shop, 8511 N Lombard, to pick up your St. Johns Celebrates Small poster or email us using the website contact form to bring the poster to you.
Oregon Retirement Savings Plan featured at April General Meeting
You can also pick up a poster at the next Boosters’ General Meeting, Wednesday, April 19th, at 7:15 AM at the John Street Cafe, 8338 N Lombard.
This month the speaker is Joel Metlen, manager of public engagement for the Oregon Retirement Savings Plan. This is a program that begins in July and will allow employers and self-employed people to start a retirement savings program for their company. Come learn the details and network with your business community.
