Join the St. Johns Neighborhood Association to help detrash the St. Johns Business District and the surrounding residential areas. We will convene outside St. Johns Church, 8044 N Richmond Ave, beginning at 9am. After a brief safety talk and grabbing pickup supplies, you will spend about an hour picking up litter in the neighborhood. Join us to help make our community a better place!
Meeting Location: St Johns Church, 8044 N Richmond Ave.
What’s Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers, vinyl gloves, and high vis-vests are provided to all participants that need them.
What to Bring: Please come in comfortable walking clothes and closed-toed shoes. Bring your own water, snacks, and hand sanitizer if you plan to take a break while picking up litter. Be prepared to work rain or shine, and dress for the weather. All cleanup supplies will be provided by SOLVE. Feel free to bring the following items to help us reduce the number of disposable supplies we distribute: reusable bag or 5-gallon bucket, garden or work gloves, litter grabber.
Parking: Ample parking is available on the streets adjacent to the church.
Bathrooms: Are available inside the church
Accessibility: The check-in will take place in a location that is wheelchair accessible. The majority of the cleanup will take place in areas that are on public sidewalks, which are wheelchair accessible.
Youth: Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult.
