Northwest Container Services’ main terminal is where Lombard turns into North Burgard Road NWCS has top of the line container and chassis handling equipment support a yard design aimed at minimizing the total time our customers’ trucks spend in our facilities.
We repair chassis and steam clean all types of marine containers.
Intermodal Rail: In 1986, NWCS joined forces with the Union Pacific Railroad (www.up.com) to offer our customers an efficient and dependable overnight train service, the “Daily Direct.” Since its inception, Daily Direct service has grown from the original three days per week to the current six day weekly schedule between Portland, Tacoma, and Seattle terminals. NWCS focuses primarily on meeting steamship line customer cutoffs but works diligently to keep its commitment to all customers.
We provide intermodal trucking of containers from/to marine terminals, rail facilities, export/shipper facilities and distribution centers in the Pacific Northwest.
Our Dispatchers in Portland, coordinate over 30 Owner-Operators, and have developed a reputation as a reliable and cost effective service provider. We communicate daily with shippers and forwarders to plan the most efficient service for handling your trucking requirements.
Container Sales: These quality containers are an excellent option if you need extra storage, work or living space. Do you need a specialized container or one customized to fit your specific needs? We offer modifications to the containers.
